One Spot Foxface

My Foxface, Ace, is really not looking good. I did my monthly water change this weekend. All water levels are good. My tests show great ranges. I know he will go "camo" mode but I noticed his change about 5 hours ago. This is much longer than normal for him. He is usually very active. He is staying still hovering just above the sand now.

Should I put him in the QT tank? Or is he ok?

Maybe it's just the quality of the image, but it looks like he has a pretty severe case of popeye. His eyes look red, but maybe that's something on the glass.

Is he still acting the same way? Is he eating? Also, can you post your water parameters (NH3, NO2, NO3, SG, pH, Alk, Ca, Mg)?

He is the same except his eyes. They have returned to normal.

NH3 0
NO2 0
NO3 0
SG ?
pH 8.2
Alk ?
Ca 500
Mg ?
PO4 0
iodine .04

Yes they were popped out. Now he has gone into hiding. Haven t seen him all day Friday. Searched w/o moving rock and did not find. Not a good sign.

well. I changed another 15 gal water yesterday and Ace is back! His color is better and he is swimming around. Thanks for the help! But I lost my 3 yr old diamond back goby/ Sad day. My salinity was 1.0255- I think I killed him and made Ace sick.

Glad to hear he is getting back to normal. :)

1.0255 is a good salinity level, so I highly doubt this is what killed your goby. Sorry for your loss.

Ace (the foxface) is really shaping up. He is back to full color and eating seaweed. Not sure what happened but he is back up and kicking. Thanks for all the help.
