Online coral taxonomy guide?

When I was in college I took a course in Dendrology (study of trees and their identification). We used a keyed guide that you could use to identify just about any tree you came across. This guide would use things like branching patterns and bud shapes to use to identify the tree. It took a while to learn all of the scientific terms for all of these things but it was an invaluable tool once you did that.

Is there anything online that even comes close to a guide for coral taxonomy?

there used to be a aims.gov site that all you had to do was type in "acropora", or "montipora" or whatever and endless information came up with pictures of live specimens and skeletons as well as like links to similar species.

It hasnt been around, or at least I havent been able to find it for some time

its too bad, it was quite the resource

Yeah, I remember that. I think you use to be able to order a CD version in the back of Vernons book if I remember corectly. I thought I read online that it was still available for free by CD after their site went down but I can't find anything on their page about it. If anyone has any information about this CD I would love to get a hold of a copy.
