Only half of my bta inflating?

I have 2 bubble tip anemones. One green and one rose. Both of these anemones only half of their tentacles inflate on one side it seems. Seems to not be growing and slightly getting smaller also. Nitrates are around 0, ammonia 0, nitrite 0, phospates 0, salinity 1.026, temp 77-79 and ph 8.0-8.2 Lights are LED, 39 blues and 30 white over 5' 120 gallon tank running at 65% on whites and 80% on blues from 9am to 8pm. Green tip is at the bottom and rose is at the upper half. They are eating, fresh shrimp from the meat counter and mysis but just wont fully inflate. Ive been feeding them a small chunk about every day and they seem to puff up a bit more afterwards. Could they be starving, clowns bothering them, or what? Any help would be great. Thanks.

Cant seem to find any answers or figure it out so anemones meet toilet, toilet meet anemones....:thumbdown

Sucks that you flushed it. It was probably just adjusting to your tank. You also could have post a freebie in Craig's or on here and I'm pretty sure someone would have tried to save them. Sucks that no one replied. I didn't see the post myself til now. Next time I think pictures of them nem might trigger a faster response.

I decided to hold off on flushing them, still trying to give them a fighting chance since they dont look like they are melting and they are still attached to the rocks. Ive had them for a couple months or so and they started out big and puffy and just went down hill the last week or so. Ill try and get some pictures posted as soon as I can.

Need more info. What's ur pram and lighting. How often you feeding and your water change. Any hosting of clown fish?

See my first post for params, lighting, feeding, and lights. I do a water change every 2 weeks of around 20%. Taking pics now and gonna try and upload them and yes, clowns are hosting both anemones. I have 4 clowns sometimes hosting 3 will in one anemone and other times, they pair off and 1 anemone hosts 2 and the other hosts 2.

I notice sometimes after feeding they would deflate to expell extra food not eatten or pooping or changing their internal water. If feeding everyday or every other day I would cut back to once a week. Depending on the size of the nem I would say a dime piece for a 6+ inch nem. Smaller if less then 6 inches. What type of clown is hosting them and how big are the clowns and how big is the nem?

FWIW, I have DIY LED 3 watt cree's. That many wouldn't cut it, especially dimmed. I have between 60-70 every 2' for my tanks, in strings of (5) X 12 LED'S each driver, most are not dimmed on my tanks. If I was to guess, not enough light, unless they are right at the surface of the water, and all the LED's are right above them. Would like to see a picture of them.

My advice is buy new test kits and do a few huge water changes. I always find it hard to believe when someone says they are having issues but all of their parameters are 0.

Heres a couple pics of before and now

The rose is not as pale as the second pic shows, still very pink, but its mouth goes from being shut to being that much open on and off when it is expanded.

Wow. Don't look good. Something has to be off. Lighting is fine. They would hide if its too bright. I had bta is less light and was fine. Do you dose anything? How are snails and crabs in your tank? And you mention they are still eatting? Do they look like that with the lights off or do they get smaller? Any copper treatment or meds?

No dosing, running gfo and carbon. I cut a chunk of frozen shrimp off and let it thaw for about 15 mins somtimes soaking in selcon and I soaked it garlic once, habbit when feeding fish. Snails, crabs, and shrimp, 2 skunk, 1 pepermint, are doing fine in the tank. Have only lost 1 skunk, it was pretty big, about 6-7 months back and replaced him. I have seen one of the clowns "sucking" on a tentacle" awhile back. Any ideas on what might be eating them and will their tentacles recover if thats the issue?

Peppermint shrinp (if you mistake Camel shrimp for Peppermint) or the crabs. Or also some unknow worm or crabs from the rock.
Clown sucking on the tentacles is normal and does not cause this.

I have hermit crabs, one pom pom, and 2 porcelain crabs and maybe a tiny gorilla crab that I havent seen since I chased him into a hole and jabbed a sharp rod into it a bunch of times. Cant remember where I got the peppermint shrimp from but I will catch him and throw him in the sump for a bit and keep my eyes open at night.
