Hey guys I really need some help here with my LPS coral. I have a 60 gallon cube with an aqua euro skimmer and a kessil A350W. My tank has been set up for about 2 and a half months but it was all transferred one from a previous tank that was running for two and a half years. Previously I had T5's and was running four bulbs now I have the LEDs.
Onto my coral dilemma ha. I've had LPS since I started seven years ago. As a matter of fact I still have my first coral. A candy cane that has been through 7 years of constant changing. I bought it as one polyp and its now about 30-40 polyps. It's been through 87 degree water and harsh ammonia spikes and never has it lost a polyp. Until recently these past two weeks almost three polyps have died and now all of the tissue is receding on all polyps. Only my LPS seem to have the problem. I have plenty of SPS. It's a 50/50 and they're doing just fine. The only time they ever mess up is if something falls on them or they fall.
All my water parameters are in check for the most part. In a few hours I'm going to the LFS to have it tested to check exactly where I'm at.
So what I'm asking for is help on why this is happening. I've never had a prpblem this bad. Almost every LPS is going to die in my tank. I have an open brain coral the size of an open hand that just started to peel today. If this one dies then I'll probably loose faith in all of them. I don't want to see my money and hard work go down over something I can easily help. Please help
