Only running ATI blue+ bulbs?

I currently have a two bulb HO T5 fixture with an ATI Aquablue special bulb and a Blue+ bulb. I've been wanting to get a bluer look to my tank because I feel the white is bit too overpowering.

I was looking through a thread on here that listed the PAR values of various bulbs and the these two only have a difference of 25 PAR. If that's the case, would it be fine to only run two ATI Blue+ bulbs?

I currently have LPS, mushrooms, zoas, and leathers in my tank.

It'll definitely be blue! Only drawback is that some of your non-flourescing reds and pinks will disappear (if you had any to begin with).

I always wished there was something in between the blue plus and the aquablue special.

That's what I heard too. I haven't seen one yet but I hear it's at least a little bluer than the ABS.

Maybe try 1 Blue Plus and 1 Purple Plus? You'll lose a little par but LPS, shrooms and zoas aren't all that hard to keep.

Thank you for all the advice thus far.

I also wish there was a bulb in between a blue+ and aqua blue special.

I thought about going with a purple plus too, I just didn't know how it would look. I noticed on the ATI box it recommends them in at least a four bulb fixture.

I ran the blue plus and the kz new gen combo, until I got my led's. Best 2 bulb combo I could find.
The kz new gen tends to compliment the blue plus, not overpower it like the aquablue spec. It's definately a bluer look.

I believe that the KZ New Gen will do it also and therefore is what I would do, if wanted to remove the Aquablue special.
By the way, the combo you have now is not overpowering at all...
Unless you're talking about you taste for the spectrum of the bulbs.
I think only blue Plus bulbs or Blue plus X Purple Plus combo to be kinda "too blue".
Your corals will appreciate the KZ New Gen! Hope you'll like it too.
It is best to have a white/blue combo than all blue for their metabolism, specially growth.

Grandis.
