Nice pair...very dark! they look like pro's at this laying thing. Any thoughts of raising the fry?

What's exactly needs to be done to raise them ?

I plan to try to raise them. They just need good rotifers, followed by baby brine shrimp, followed by the kitchen sink. Keep up the water quality (easier said than done) and let nature do the rest.

dan, the flow you have in your systems looks really strong. i ve been conteplating inc. flow and after looking at your vids, i prob will.
what is your feeding protocol?

I feed once a day, usually frozen Formula I. I mix it up with treats of plankton, Formula II, and mysis. I let them fast one day a week, usually 'cause I get home late. There are plenty of critters in the tanks and they will occasionally get one. The tank is a 20 gallon long with a built in overflow box using an Aquaclear 401 (or whatever its called now) to pump out, plus a heater. No skimmer, carbon, or other resins. Topoff is RO. I guess a pretty natural system. I don't think I am doing anything special, just lucky.

Dan,

your being humble. what ive learned is that there are MANY methods to successful reef keeping. if you got them to lay eggs, your obviously doing something right.

congrats.

thanks for sharing us your video.

Incredible video. Very nice. The fish are very nice too. Are you going to be able to pull the rock out? Good luck with the babies.

The rock is fairly large and has the anemone attached to it, so I will rig up a fry snagger. Was not able to collect that batch. Just mis-timed it. New batch should hatch in a few days. Will try again.
