so, i just got my tunzenanostream in the mail. i opened the box and i took everything out...and OUCH!!!! those magnets slammed together with AMAZING force and caught the skin of my finger in between them. i was gushing blood and could tell every time my heart beat haha. i have NEVER screamed that loud before lol. and to boot, i had to twist them apart with my finger stuck between them. so, for thjose of you who decide to get these, keep the magnets separated until you are ready to put them together on the glass of the tank. those things are INCREDIBLY strong. the attraction of those magnets is amazing! by the way, don't put them near a tv. you WILL ruin it.

Ya, some how I managed to get the web area between my index finger and my thumb stuck in there when unpacking it. Very powerful magnets, I think the manual says something like 100 lbs of pull ?

I did the same thing while cleaning my 6045. Took a significant amount of flesh off my thumb. To say it hurt is an understatement :eek2: .

lol, I do a few custom projects and helped a freind of mine's daughter with a science project. Anyway long story short I used some magnet wire wrapped around a 20 oz soda bottle and put a heavy wire shaft through the area and used about 6 rare earth magnets. You can pick them up at RadioShack, anyway they were stacked 3 on each side of the shaft to create a field. WHen the shaft turned the magnets spun and an electric current was created. You could light up a small lightbulb, but when trying to get the magnets on the shaft and they snapped shut on your finger you could light up a large battleship, and shanged the color of some small childrens faces.

You think 2 pulling at about 100 pounds of force is bad try 6 pulling together with about 300 pounds of force.
