Today my open brain decided to eat my cleaner shrimp.
The shrimp just molted, or at least there was a molt in my tank and a shrimp being injested by my brain. Not sure on the order of these events or if they are related. I assume the shrimp may have been more susceptible to the open brain just after molting because it's hung around it before (stealing food), but I don't know.
Is this a common occurrence? I just purchased the shrimp about a week ago and am wondering if I should bother getting another?
I have 2 trach open brains and target feed them mysis shrimp every 4-5 days.
