I have 2 wellsos and a lobo that never seem to expand/contract at the same time of day consistently. Some days the wellsos will pull down really tight and look like a starving dog with the skeleton clearly visible then then next day it opens up fully with tentacles reaching out and is easily twice as big as when it's pulled in (it may do this day or night, it varies). The lobo does pretty much the same thing but goes between expansion/contraction on nearly an hourly basis.
All 3 are clearly growing, eating well. My question is wether or not this is just normal behavior or a sign of something not being right. One of my fellow club members asked me about this because he found out I had a few open brains and I told him I assumed it was normal because mine were doing it but growing and don't seem "sick" at all. Just want to make sure I'm assuming correctly and giving sound advice. I don't want to mislead someone because I failed to look into the health of my own corals.
