What is the best thing to feed an open brain...and what do they love to eat....I have not seen its feeder tenticles yet....do they look like a candy canes tenticles?

Try cyclopeeze, mysis, brine shrimp, or really any small, defrosted piece of seafood. Squirt it onto the brain, and you should see the feeder tentacles come out. Then I would feed a little more to make sure it gets some.

I didn't see tents on mine for the longest time. Just in the last 6 months or so and I've had it for more than two years.

They do have them :) They're similar to candy canes. Maybe someone has a picture to share

Mine wouldn't take mysis for a while so I tried some krill (I think) and it started being a piggy. Now it takes just about anything. Once it started eating really well I began seeing very obvious tentacles :)

Mine comes out about 30 minutes after the actinics go off and the moonlights come on. I squirt some mysis once a week on them. Pretty cool thing to see

i haven't fed my for the longest time, didn't know i had to. just gave them pieces of squid today. I used to see the tenticles but don't see them anymore. Also my clown pair is hosting on them.
