I want a red brain pretty bad. I can't find any at my lfs's though. This one looks really nice!

? about brains and sand sifting gobies, my goby (banded sleeper) loves to cover things that i place on the bottom of my tank, should i not get an open brain because of this, or can i get one and keep it higher up in the tank?? i love the colour of the brains and would love to have one on the bottom of my tank

so my brain has been slowly losing color and I am not sure why, any ideas?

One thing I have noticed is that my clown has felt the need to host it, so I haven't seen the polyps out in a long time.

From my original picture on page 3 it is a much more pink now.

jerryjrbest, it's probably also because a lot of LFS's put open brain corals on an egg crate or rocky base...

OH MY GOD...Oaksy..your from the UK and you have those Gems..where an earth did you find em if you don't mind me asking!

Thanks

Elliott

There are some amazing corals in this thread. Ours can't match half of them, but we love it anyway. ;)

Brains are kept on the sand so their flesh has room to expand and not be hindered by a lr.

For some reason mine has done much better since I moved it from the sand onto a piece of live rock.

:D I suppose there are exceptions to every rule. I'm glad yours is doing good. I love brains.
