Not being a computer wiz I was not able to figure out if I could post a poster I created in ms publisher for this ...
but no matter,
As a way to say thanks to all those who have taken the time to help out my program over the years with advice and goodies and to kick off the 2008 year of the coral reef, My students and I are hosting an open house celebration.
Saturday 11/10 starting at 2 pm.
We have two great guest speakers: Jeff Kurtz columnist for Tropical Fish Hobbist and Steven Pro (whom most of you know as an expert aquarist)
Additionally, a couple of my students will be presenting informational papers on the state of the reefs around the world.
At 2 pm Jeff will start us off
followed by Steven around 3 pm
then my students at 4 pm
then a quick ceramony to offically opening our new marine sciences teaching lab
the rest of the evening will be open to public tours of our touch tank aquarium and reef tank along with the students project tanks
the evening will end around 7 pm or so
Several area stores have donated raffle items including Ocean Treasures in Toledo and Aqua Hobbies in Monroe Mi. Plus Fosters and Smith and "That fish store" have donated gift certificates. Also, we are going to hold a 50/50 drawing to help continue funding our projects.
I hope to see you all, especially those that have been such a big help over the years.
Our address is Bellevue High School 200 Oakland Ave. Bellevue Oh 44811
I am guessing that it would take a solid hour or so to get here from most of the greater Cleveland area but worth the trip
thanks again for all that you (all) have done for my students over the years by keeping me straight on how to keep a decent tank.
