Hi all,

I have a 90 gallon mixed reef (60-in long) with 6 other fish -- 2 ocellaris, 1 hogfish, 1 flame angel, 1 purple pseudo, and 1 lawnmower blenny -- and I want to add one more fish that will be a good swimmer. All my current fish really like to hide out.

I'd like some contrasting colors; already represented well are black/white, red, yellow, and purple (when it comes out!). Any ideas? I don't want anything terribly aggressive or anything that will eat my corals or clams.

Thanks for suggestions!

you could always go with a yellow tang. a nice bright, yellow fish would def. stand out in that group. does your flame angel really not come out that much? i have one and he is front and center almost all the time

Yeah, the flame angel spends most of its time in the rocks or caves. Basically they all come out to eat then retreat back to the shadows : )

I was having the same problem with my fish hiding alot then I added 5 yellow tail damsels. What a difference! They seem to act as dither fish. Even my marine betta comes out of the rocks often now.

I had a similar experience as jetblack. I had a yellow belly hippo who stayed in the rock work most of the day. I added 8 chromis & now its out in the open most of the day.

I have a rabbitfish. Maybe consider one of the smaller foxface lo, a close relative. These fish are good citizens, and mine is always out and about.
