Surprisingly, no. If you open the stand up, you get a pretty loud cacophony of water noises coming from underneath, but once it's all buttoned up you don't really hear anything over the noise from the rest of the fish room.

Well, we reopened the fish room yesterday to a really nice reception from folks. If anyone's ever in the Upper Valley area of New Hampshire, feel free to stop in to the Lebanon Pet Center. We've got one of the biggest fish rooms in New England.

Well, here's a little update on the tank (I know it's been a while, but I figured you didn't want to look at diatom blooms and hair algae). The tank is doing great, still got a little nuisance algae that I'm trying to get rid of, but it's full stocked with fish and corals and doing great. Did a little walk by video since my camera is terrible, and this is the best way for you to see the detail.

Currently consists of (for fish):
1 - Yellow Tang
1 - Hippo Tang
1 - Atlantic Blue Tang (yes, they all get along great in this big tank)
24~ - Green Chromis
1 - Scooter Blenny
1 - Blue Mandarin
1 - Spotted Mandarin
1 - Red Fairy Wrasse
1 - Tobacco Basslet
1 - Orchid Dottyback
1 - Yellow Assessor
1 - Maroon Clown
2 - True Percula Clowns
6 - Bangaii Cardinals
Various snails and other cleanup crew.
Still not sure if I'll add any more fish to the tank in the future, but for now it's a good amount and a good amount of movement and color. The corals are a little too numerous to count at the moment, but I just added a Squamosa clam that's over a foot in length yesterday (not in the video). I'll try to get a picture of that when I can.
Oh, and I found a Tulip Snail the other day about 3" long cruising around the tank, trying to catch cerith snails to eat. He's pretty, but I don't need something that destructive in the tank. He and one little gorilla crab are the only bad hitchhikers I've found so far, though.

Here's a photo of the clam we got in from the customer. This thing is huge!
And the store manager brought in an older maroon clown that she didn't have room for any more, and he immediately took to a bubble tip on the end of the tank facing the stairs coming down into the fish room, so he's the first thing you see in the tank as you come down.

So far I haven't had to adjust very much. The clam is already over a foot in length, so it's not exactly growing at an incredible rate. Between 50 gallon water changes every two weeks and regular calcium supplementation, I haven't run into any issues with the calcium levels dropping noticeably.

That's what I like the most about it, is the variety of fish and inverts I've stocked it with. Nothing too terribly big and flashy, but everywhere you look there's something interesting happening.

Some more photos from yesterday morning. Already starting to contemplate running the overflows to some large bins for a refugium and increased water capacity in our back room, instead of the tiny sump underneath.
*edit* Sorry for the terrible quality of these pictures, I've been taking them with my iTouch, which has an absolutely terrible camera on it. If a remember, I'll try and borrow someone's good camera to take some photos for everyone.
