I am looking to purchase a small mantis shrimp online.
Does anyone have any experience with either
Blue Zoo Aquatics or KP Aquatics.
Regarding quality of the livestock and customer service.
Tank is 10 gallon acrylic, with live rock 2 of which are covered with mushrooms
a small curved pvc tube and a crushed coral and sand bed.
Moderate lighting (2) 6 watt white/actinic exotic stunner strips
hang on filter and 1 small power head.
Tank originally set up 9/2010 for Goby Pistol shrimp pair
Long story short heater malfunctioned both of them died too hot.
have new heater with external controller/tank temp probe. This happened last year.
BTW I had a small green hitchhiker mantis in 1997 that lived until 2002.
Thanks for any info or advice in advance.

Both suppliers are amazing. Blue zoo has always been #1 for me, while KP/sealife.net is constantly receiving good positive feedback. However, just note only the neogonodactylids that KP sells can be kept in a 10g. Blue zoo hardly gets g. Smithii in.

I have never ordered inverts from blue zoo but I have gotten fish in from them. And I have to say that I was very disappointed in the customer service and the owner of the company is downright rude, very condescending. I have gotten 9 fish total from them, 5 of those fish were DOA and it took weeks to get a credit from them and had to pay additional shipping fees each time. I will never again do business with them. But that's just me. Tbsaltwater also sells n. Wennerae.

KPaquatics is awesome, and they do have N. Oerstedii and N. Curacaoensis available right now. That and N. Wennerae are the only species they offer that will be appropriate for a 10G.
