Opinions of Kick Ich?

I am in the process of trying it right now. I figure it could be worth the try if it actually works. I have heard from several people that it does work and I have heard from people that have never used it, that it doesn't work. I wonder how the people that have never used it, knows that it doesn't work? Is there anyone here that has actually used it and can vouch for if it works or doesn't?

well because on the bottle it says to not run your skimmer. It doesn't say for how long but you are supposed to does this stuff for like a week and half. I don't feel comfortable leaving my skimmer of for that period of time. I am wondering what other people have experienced with it.
I used it and it seemed to work. You have to follow the dosage schedule completely and for best results use the "heavy infestation" regimen. Also: your skimmer, UV, carbon, and if I remember correctly phosphate remover should be removed also. Storage of the product is also important, if it gets frozen or is kept in sunlight (read the LFS stores it near the front window) it will deactivate. When I say "seemed" to work, the Ich spots disappeared and never reappeared - knock on wood.

You know, I have read so many times that hypo doesn't work, that copper doesn't work, that garlic doesn't work. I have read about people quarantining fish for 6-8 weeks, they put them in their tank and they still got ich. I have read about people getting ich, taking all their fish out, treating them for 2 months, putting them back in and 2 days later they got ich again. It really seems like there is nothing that beats it and no one actually knows anything about it.
BTW, I had fish in my tank for around a month now with no ich. I bought a powder blue at the local fish store that had been in copper for 3 weeks with no signs of ich. I brought the fish home and he eats like a pig and he has been in the tank for a week. 2 days ago we noticed ich on him and some on our foxface. I have treated the tank for kick ich for 1 day now and there is no ich on the foxface and only a few spots on the powder blue. I did not do a quaratine on the powder blue because he had been quarantined in the LFS for 3 weeks in copper. I have been soaking all the food in garlic and I have been heavily feeding to keep all the fish strong and they are all still eating very good. Anyone have any other ideas that they know will work 100% no matter what?

The best way to prevent ich is to never put a tang in your tank.From the time I started my tank a year ago,I have never had ich,perfectly healthy fish.In the first week I introduced a hepatus tang in my 75,all hell broke loose.I lost my beautiful flame angel,a yellow tail damsel,a royal gramma,and the hepatus tang.The only reason I believe I did not lose my maroon clown,is because he never leaves his anemone.I fed garlic soaked food,freshwater dips,raised the tank temps,everything imaginable.My cleaner shrimp constantly cleaned the tang,but to no avail.I considered using one of the ich formulas,but did not want to risk the loss of over a $1000 worth of corals.I will never have another tang in my tank if there is no medicinal cure that works.Good luck,and I hope yours ends better than mine.
