I like mine on my 75. Had to put fan on one side. Aquamedic is in Colorado so parts ship ground in 24 hours and they sell every part individually. Decent customer service, but their tech department got harder to get a hold of when they got a separate phone line.
I ran the aquamedic ocean light 2x250 hqi and 1x150 on my 120 gallon and needed no supplemental light. Dido on the customer service. Don't know if you bought your light yet, but I have still not sold mine and would let if go for a song. call me if you have any questions 303-895-8655.
Jimmy, Thanks for the offer, and that is a great deal! I think with my center brace that 150 in the center of the light would be a disadvantage. And yes I know a simple cover with PVC would work.
If not for that I would would have taken it!!!
Again thanks for the info... Someone should jump all over that light.
Likely you will be back in a couple of years... I came back!!
John
The old style with the ballasts in the fixture generated heat and had some issues. I had one of them. The ballasts are no longer in the fixture. The new US made Reeflex Cube magnetic ballasts run very cool and quiet.
If you got the oceanlight 2x250 2x54, the one i wrote you about is a completely different light. I have both and am using the oceanlight. that is what needed a condenser.
