opinions on coralife calcium reactor...

i'm looking for an inexpensive calcium reactor for my 55 gal mixed reef. does the tank rating mean anything because i'm aiming towards the 500gal rated reactor. how reliable are these reactors? any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

i'm currently running the smaller one with the effluent at about 40 ml/min and 52 bpm; this is with ARM media. The effluent ph is at about 6.6 currently. It could do much more than that I suppose.

I had previously been dosing about 60 ml/day of B-Ionic.

I'm very happy with it though. Although it has a more "mass-produced" look than other reactors, I feel that the functionality/quality for the money is well worth it.

what else would you need to get this running considering i still have a few CO2 tanks left over from my paintballing days?

just tagging

I was wondering about these too?

and word on these reactors would help us greatly in our decision making

my setup is a bb 90 sps tank I was wondering if one of these would be suitable?

well, i was shopping around today and i found a brand new coralife calcium reactor rated for a 250gal tank and the price was 110 out the door so i couldn't resist, so now i need to shop for the rest of the parts to complete this setup but i really don't know where to start.

as for quality the body and piping is semi cheesy but overall the craftsmanship is good imo. i checked out the propeller and i was amazed to find the ceramic metal alloy shaft that's also used in my Eheim return pump. don't break those, they're expensive to replace...
