I am in the planning stages of getting a new, larger tank and see several companies that I am interested in (Planet Aquarium, DSA) offering PVC bottoms. While the theory of decreased weight and more ruggedness makes sense, I am having concerns as to the integrity of the joint between the glass and the PVC. Glass to glass with silicon, I get that. Anyone with some longer term experience with this configuration and your success (or lack thereof)?
