Opinions on skimmer choice

This is the one I am considering getting this weekend for my 40g Breeder, 29g sump, one flame angel (1") and one yellowtail damsel (1.5")

It will work but if you are going to be buying a new skimmer I would get one closer to 2x your tank/sump total water volume.

I agree. I would go with the 302. Its way overkill but you can better grow into it. I had the 301 on a heavy SPS 20H with 10g sump and it work wonderfully.

Went to LFS yesterday, just to get a few cheap frags to add a bit more color.. Left with, torch, catspaw,peep eye zoa, Hollywood stunner, and a reef octopus 110 internal (was used for 2 months), and more salt, and an empty wallet..

I tried tirelessly to cut cost with skimmers and honestly its just worth spending the money for a larger size.
