I am thinking about getting an Aquapod, maybe. But I have seen the BioCube and the NanoCube has a 28 gallon with HQI lighting coming out. Anyone have any experience with any of these setups or opinions?
Thanks

I have the Aquapod 24 with 150 HQI. I like it, but it does need fans and IMO, a larger pump. Besides that, I really like it alot. GL, Marcye

I don't know how an extra fan could be added with the glass tops the way they are - it's a beefy fan in the light though. The pumps run warm but strong in the 12G but a MJ400 might be a good idea in the 24G if you are going to do SPS. I just have the 70W HQI - love the light but I do NOT like the glass top. It's hard to get in and play with the corals!

Ok, heres what Im thinkin ( after reading and reading)
I am thinking about the 150 hqi lights
Change out the original pump with a MJ
I will cut a hole in the back and put another MJ in the other side as well.
Maybe use the loc line
Not use the glass top
I am having a delima with my LR, because most of the LR in my 65 are big pieces, and there are two that I thought I definitely wanted to use. but the one piece will probally block the flow
Also I like a taller stand, the Aquapod stand is only 28 inches high, I would like between32 and 35 in tall.............

The 150 HQI generates lots more heat and the light fans won't keep it down. I took the glass top off and put a fan on the back blowing across the water and dropped down 5 degrees. I switched the pump to an MJ 1200. Split the flow with a Loc-line Y and you'll get great flow in the tank and across the surface.

Marcye,
How many lbs of LR do you have in your AP? Doyou by any chance have pictures of it?
I am torn about downsizing, and am looking for some ideas if I did. Also, are you running a skimmer adn what kind?
Thanks so much!
Valerie

I'll try to take some pics today. No skimmer. I do about a 25% water change every 10 days and it seems to do well so far but I don't have much in it yet. I am looking at the Tunze skimmer for down the road.

I looked, Drs Foster and Smith has it, its $599.00 with PC lighting.

I think its a lil too much with just PC lighting. I really love the 37 Oceanic, but its too expensive for my wallet. =(
