Hello, been here for a few years now. I have had my tank up and running for a year. Thought I would post some pics and get some feedback from you guys. It is 125g. All the corals I have are from a friend who gave me a bunch.
Livestock:
Purple tang
Sailfin tang
Hippo tang
Yellow tang
2 pajama Cardinals
2 bengai
2 clowns
1 six line wrasse
1 leopard wrasse
Cleaner shrimp

So far everything has gotten along. Just looking for some feedback or if you guys notice anything in the pics. Thanks

Looks awesome!
Your clowns leave your Cardinals alone? Really? They don't pick on them? That's odd. Good for you.
Do you use any GFO? If not, I would get some and put it in a bag and then into your filter sock (or better yet, get a reactor) because it looks like you have creeping red algae on your sand bed. Best now to nip it in the bud, IMHO.
Your tank looks great otherwise! Great corals! Love those zoas ( I can't keep any in my tank because I have an aiptasia eater)
I envy you!

I have the BRS DUEL reactor with GFO and gac. I have been battling cyano for months now. I do lights out, get rid of it, and it comes back. I'm at a loss right now.

I have the BRS Dual Reactor as well and was battling some red algea. Tried everything suggested until one day I opened the valve a bit more on the GFO (using phosban actually) and allowed a bit more tumbling on the bed than what I was told to do and that seemed to do the trick. Also, upped the changes of by GFO and Carbon as well. Likely a combination of both.

You may want to think about shedding the sailfin and hippo tang. the tank is not large enough

+1. Those are gonna be some seriously large tangs. I would expect if you kept them they are gonna eventually fight.

But I agree with the guy above me. That is some nice monti you got there!

as for the cyano. I have found success in using a GFO reactor plus when I do a water change siphon out as much as I can then do a lights out. that is what got rid of mine. Now the green algae that is growing on glass for me is another beast all together :crazy1:

You could add a goby or some sort of ground-loving fish, wouldn't conflict with all the swimmers you have in there.

Tank looks great btw.

Thanks everyone. Yeah I'm planning on upgrading to a larger aquarium in 2 years. I have a friend who has a 300g. I'm following in his foot steps. This was his old tank.
My clowns stay in the back in a corner. Any reason why? They come out periodically.
