opion new octopus nwb-150 skimmer

been thinking about getting one i always heard there a good brand .i still have the option of getting an older euro reef skimmer cs6-2 model for 50 bucks without pump.torn between going with something older like the euro reef or new maybe the octopus skimmer with bubble plate does that make a big difference.

I would spend the extra money on a new skimmer, I would go with msx 160 or octo extreme 160, what size tank 40 gallon?

yes the only problem i would have is my compartment for in the sump is the max 11x8 includindg the pump unless i can put the pump in the secoun chamber

I believe a msx 160 would leave you with some room. the bubble plate really help with turbulence in the skimmer body which = better skimming you will be very happy with that skimmer you could even use it if you upgrade later ( I had one).

I ran into the same prob...fitting a g2 into a sump....Keith(DeereG) solved my prob. He built me a sump to fit in the space I had under my tank.

+1 on the MSX 160. I have a msx250 and it seems to be a great bang for the buck option. I did a lot of digging before the purchase.
