ORA Black Clowns

I just bought a pair of Ora black clowns and have them in my tank. I have a big rbta in the tank, is it fairly common for the ora blacks to have a host relationship with these? I had a maroon and clarkii host this rbta (dont worry, those clowns are no longer in the tank). I know for a fact that these came from ORA.

Also is there anything else I should know about these clowns?

Black ocellaris? Bubbles aren't a natural host for ocellaris clownfish, but for what its worth my pair host a green bubble anemone. There are many instances of ocellaris clowns hosting bubble anemones in captivity so odds are in your favor that they will host.

Yep, ocellaris. It was funny, I put them in the tank with the maroon and the clarkii. The clarkii is very dark black and the same size as the ocellaris. When they were first introduced the clarkii stayed with the ora blacks and they didnt know the difference. Well I got the maroon out and the clarkii immediately went to the rbta. Now the clarkii doesnt want a thing to do with the ora blacks and is acting aggressive when they get close to the rbta, that he has only been hosting for 1 hour. Long story short, the clarkii is in the sump for now.

Bubble anemones are natural hosts for maroons and clarkiis so its no surprise your clarkii took too it. Generally its not a good idea to mix different species of clowns together due too aggression issues.

I figured I would give it a shot, but planned on taking out the other clowns as needed. Peace and Harmony are back within the tank now.

How are the fish doing? I was thinking of doing an order from ORA as I just got approved as retailer...have heard some good things. I want to throw a pair of blacks in my tank...4 RBTA for them to choose from, but I have to get rid of a once beautiful gold stripe maroon to do this...I am hesitant due to the fact it is not a guarantee they will host.

Goodluck!

They are doing good, eating and everything. They were hosting my rbta as soon as the other clown was taken out. I dont know if they learned from the other clown or not, just got them wednesday.
