sweet will this change their min tank requirements now then? if so they will finally make a good nano fish. If i recall, most tank size remonmmendations for these guys are based on food avalibality not swimming space

More or less its due to how many copepods are in the tank. Thats the Mandrians natural food. The more rock the more places for the ceopepods to hide and breed therefore creating more food for the Mandrian.

yeah man but the article said these guys will be weaned onto pellets before release! my guy roams the tank but keeps to a small area most of the time, just thinking out loud really.

Glad this is happening. I'm also hoping that maybe eventually there will be Sustainable Aquatics mandarins, too.
