ora clams

anyone know where i can get ora clams.....or similar clams that would have a lower chance of having a virus?

I bought my ORA gigas from one of my local fish stores, they are known for having nice ORA stuff in time to time...

The word out there is that ORA will not have clams available for a couple more weeks per my LFS

hmm, one of my lfs carries ora stuff, but the clams they have come from vietnam. they look great, (and a great price) but i'm hesitant because i think that's where the "clam virus" is hitting. am i wrong? should i not be concerned?

I am not sure about the clam virus but I do like ORA stuff. My wife and I have several or their maxi - derasa - gigas and squamosas

Here's a pic of my ORA maxima. I got mine from my LFS. It is growing with 2 rows of scutes.

Did your clam come on a white disk (artificial) as its base?

if your store can get fishheads stuff they have nice captive clams

Kalkbreath..... No, I put a half of a clam shell under the clam. Once it attached itself to it, I glued the shell to the LR.
