I recently read and article in the December/January issue of coral which mentions a coral that has been distributed to thousands of aquariasts in Europe. ORA/California tort seems to be a very popular aquarium occupant and seems to be pretty easy to ID by eyeball. I am curious how many users of this board own some.

Mine has really taken off in the past month or so. I'll try to get a pick. I think slimer would definately be up there. I have a big slimer colony and everybody in my reef club has a piece.

I have a colony of both. The cali and the ORA Purple torts. Hard to tell the difference between te two.

I have what my LFS said was an ORA Blue Tort. It is blue with green polyps, so I'm not sure what it is. It was $29 or $39 though :O It grows well and I like it.

Yeah mine was actually the first Acro I got and it has turned out to be the hardiest and has survived stress/damage more than any other acro I've had. It holds its color too, unlike some other corals i've tried. By far one of my favorites now.
