I did not buy it. It is in the store. I think 274.99. There have only been 20 released by ORA.

I'm happy with my $11 Ocellaris. That's just me though : )

Snowflakes are just another pattern varient of Ocellaris, right?

Depends on the source:

TMC's are presumed to be A. ocellaris

ORA's Snowflakes? I am not positive, but I thought they were from their picasso(A. percula) line. We have some folks very familiar with ORA on RC, maybe they will chime in and set me straight :>)

In the meantime, common names and "limited edition" names are terrible for correlating proper clown species. Consider it best effort unless the source is clearly identified.

Well, as already stated, there likely are breeders and/or retailers using it to describe color variants of 2 different species or even hybrid species.

Please don't get caught up in the common names or forget clowns in captivity frequently interbreed.

This particular fish is an occellaris, directly from ORA.

ORA is now producing both Picasso (A. percula)
and just recently Snowflakes (A. ocellaris).
From what I understand the snowflakes are just trickling out and are usually going only to the top ORA retailers.

Even at half the price, I don't think that is the kind of customer Petco is going after.
