Dang that stuff is amazing. I wonder what their facilities look like

Lunchbucket

I would also..but from what i understand they only let you see the bagging room. they wont let you see the clowns or the corals

60Cubed, do you have all the new ORA corals? It seems like you do, very cool.
I don't have them all.....but I do have a few of them:

birds of paridise
green birdsnest
red planet
pearlberry
bellina
boreallis
M.I. blue bottle
hawkins
phils
chips
aussie delicate
purple plasma
plum crazy
verde
German green w/blue polyp acro
blue voodoo stag
miami orchard

I believe I have their blue milli and blue tort. I didn't get these directly from them so I am not for sure. But I have a few more I would like to get that I do not currently have. Probably before X-mas.

How come some of the red planet frags are really red with a small hint of green and then some others have more green to them?
It seems that possibly some of them when they grow out more lose the deep red coloration??

Great corals some of you guys have growing there though.

I have all but lost the green in mine. It is mostly pink with a white tip and a hint of green. I have it in my frag tank. I am going to move it to my DT and see if I can re-generate that deep green. I also think it needs to be mounted horizontal instead of vertical.

60cubed - HOLY COWS!!! That is one sweet list. I'd love to have 1/2 of those. Where you get them from?? LFS?

I, luckly, have two LFS's that carry them. Plus one about an hour away that does. So I can suddenly get all the ORA I want. I can get a red planet from one LFS for around $50. I can get it and ship it to you! You pay shipping of course. LMK if you are interested.

they grow all the corals outside in greenhouses that get sunlight.so they will all look a little diff from each other... and this is from ora. they say if you get any of there corals in the winter mths. the color may be a little off becasue if the lower sunlight. and shop owners should hold them for a week to color them up

Here are my ORA corals, some colonies and some frags. Everything grown from a small frag though.

First is ORA green polyp birdsnest.

This next picture has the pink birdsnest in the center, directly behond it(brown with very nice blue tips) is the lupine staghorn, and to the left of the birdsnest is the miami staghorn.

This is the ORA turquoise staghorn( I can not remember offhand if it is called teal or turquois staghorn), but the picture does not do it justice, the color is amazing on it. I had just cut off a few branches for frags on the backside as it was fighting with the gr. birdsnest a little.

ORA blue millipora (fast grower)

ORA borealis, just bought it last week.

This is one my ORA blue(cali) tort colonies, I have two of them about the same size on opposite ends of the tank. I can never get a good picture of it, sorry.

I also have the red planet, but could not get a decent picture of it.

That would be nice to have that many options!

Thanks for the offer. I have a local guy that can order in ORA (used to be a LFS owner) and he ordered in a bunch and I didn't hop on. He's going to do another order sometime soon and I have the red planet reserved.

Thanks

I was talking with a buddy the other day about ORA...its amasing how they can find a really nice coral, make a few hundred\thousand frags and market them so well...And lets not forget how healthy they are, and the decent price.

Kudo's to ORA

It amazes me too, but I have to disagree on the decent price part. I think they are overpriced, as are many frags in this hobby. But people are willing to pay it. I think a decent price would be 20 to 30 bucks max. Just my opinion.
