ORA SPS species names?

The Velvet Sea

I've been searching RC and google but I just can't find this info. Are the species names known for:

ORA Pearlberry Acropora ?
ORA Australian Delicate Acropora ?
ORA Green Bottlebrush Acropora ?
ORA Birds of Paradise Seriatopora ?

Thanks.

Ok, so I guess none of these are known for sure...

How about an educated guess? Thanks! :strange:

You do know that 90% of the ORA corals if it is an ORA coral that the sci names are posted in particular if it's linked with one of their online distributing vendors like Fosters and Smith's diver den?

Google is sometimes the pathway to all things...

Bird of Paradise Should be Seriatopora caliendrum.

That's really the exception though. Most are listed simply as Acropora sp. and a few (eg Hawkins) are incorrectly identified.

As for educated guesses, I have read that Pearlberry may be a deswali.

Thank you for the BoP identification! I see that the divers den does list it as that. As far as ORA Acropora sp. ID on the Divers Den, I'd say ~90% are just listed as Acropora sp. It seems like ORA Acropora are very rarely identified to species. I've googled myself silly searching for this stuff (see my original post?), but I do appreciate your help on the birds of paradise ID!

Also thanks to driftin on the Pearlberry input~!

About a year or so ago, I started a thread, here on RC, attempting to compile a list of ORA corals, along with species names. Unfortunately, it didn't get that far...lol. With the search function temporarily out of order, it'd be impossible to find this thread for you, but once searches are working again, I'll attempt to find it. We got a few that had some consistently agreed upon answers.
