this is a small colony my wife got me for my birthday. 4 heads with 1 baby growing.

Those look more like true RPE's (I haven't sold any true RPE's, so I'm not sure what they are going for these days). EO's don't have the purple around the mouths. The orange goes all the way to the slit mouth. Nice PE's regardless. Hopefully, they'll grow for you (my PE's grow slow...).

FWIW, ocean in a box has some that look a lot like EO's, but seem a bit more metallic (probably just lighting) that they sell for somewhere around $15-20 per polyp, I think.

The funny thing about corals is they are only worth as much as you are willing to pay from them. Alot of these online fish stores are always trying to sucker people you can find the Orange Envy anywhere from $35 to $55. Just have to watch who you deal with. If you are looking for some nice frages try frags.org but keep in mind alot of people on there are not reasonable you will however find some at a good price.

You were looking int he right place:). As for pricing, Anthony is spot on. It's only really worth what someone is actaully willing to pay for it. Many of the pieces you see on line don't see for what they have them priced. In large part, it's marketing to get peopel to go nuts about the price of a given coral, btu think of the publicity and traffic it gives to their site. You may notice the really expensive 'LE's' are usualy on whatever site for a good amount of time before they are pulled (not necesarily sold). These days, it seems that no one wants to buy anything unless it has a steep price tag on it, whether the name has been with it for a while, or was just given it... I've had tons of people ask me if a zoa was X. When I tell them I'm not sure of the name, but it looks pretty well identical, it is no longer interesting to them. I get the impression most times that had I said, Yes it is X, the operson would have bought it. Hence the millions of names for the same coral (other peopel see, well, if I charge more for it and give it a name, people will buy it)... Interesting shift in coral buying, but it seems to be across the board... It seems to put more pressure on tank raised corals (which is a good thing), but severely narrows the field.

Sorry, I got on a mini soap box and off topic. I shouldn't be allowed to type in the morning:D.

Of course Gary that is the way people here in the US are about a lot of things look at pants the same pair with out a name would not sell but you put some stupid name on it and it is worth 3x the amount. My opinion of any one at $300-$600 per polyp is I would wait and let the people with too much money buy them after a while you will see them a lot cheaper.
