Well, I was bored and took a pic of the orange envy today. I finally got sick of the macro algae growth on the rock so I plucked most of it and superglued the area. Hopefully it wont come back. I hope you enjoy the pic!

Hey, thats not a zoa!
That means you have to forfeit your watermelon!
You have my address.
Whos colony is that from?

The watermelon is from the orginal source, Ron at Reeftechdesigns. I just got it a few weeks ago so I haven't noticed a whole lot of growth yet.

Ahhh. pink stardust. Those are my favorites (that I own). I am in Envy... That watermelon is really nice, too.

Those envy oranges are pretty awesome. I still can't believe they are going for hundreds of dollars per polyp.....I thought PPE's were expensive!

Hey buddy!!

They are looking awesome!! I think we should experiment on injecting them with steroids or something... perhaps we can call Arnold and get his opinion ;)

Here is my baby ;) I think my baby is a midget.. it Don't grow!! LOL!

good luck with that algea.. that crap is a PITA. you need to just go crazy with the tweezers till its all gone, then do it again in a month.. I am trying to kill a bunch of it myself.. it can really choke out frags! good luck..

nice zoos & nice collection

the fish on your avatar is amazing... one day I'll have a pair

I see the dreaded red turf algae... bad stuff... tangs pick at it though

Bluenass,

I don't think that is the problem in Sang's case although, i'm sure it does not help..
As you can see my colony has no algae growth and yet the polyps don't grow at all. O_O

Twon, Mixed reefs rock! SPS are the kings.. but kings need their servants (zoo's) and their jesters (LPS) ;) LOL

Juan,

are you feeding the polyps directly? i've had an incident where similar type of algae was choking and preventing growth on my purple palys. zoos mat onto the liverock.. if there is no room for them to mat onto... how is it supposed to spread? i've never seen zoos grow onto of algae.

This all reminds me of a famous song that I have revised for this special occasion.

Zoas are something if you give it away,
Give it away . . . Give it away.
Zoas are something if you give it away.
You'll end up having more.

It's just like a Magic Penny
Hold it tight, and you won't have any.
Lend it . . . Give it . . . and you'll have so many,
They'll grow all over the tank floor.

Zoas are something if you give it away,
Give it away . . . Give it away.
Zoas are something if you give it away.
You'll end up having more.

Send me a polyp and I'll show you how good they can grow!
