ORANGE LINED CARDINAL Apogon cyanosoma

Hi,

I was interested in this type of fish for my tank. I've searched and have had some mixed reviews in terms of its longetivity and temperment.

I'm deciding between the orange lined cardinal and the long spine cardinal.

It seems like they fight amongst one another? But would a predatory enviornment allow them to exist peacefully? I don't mean to introduce an aggressive fish to keep them to gether, but what about these tank mates?

What size tank? Iirc they grow almost 4" and will eat smaller fish.

either would work... they do not get 4"... 4cm maybe... biggest one i have ever seen measured barely 2" nose to tail... any pics of these monster cardinals??

they are both poor shippers, so try to get them at a LFS or someone who knows how to ship delicate fish.

well i have a 60 gallon.

i haven't pulled the trigger and wanted to find out more about them. i've been here for over a decade, so i'm a bit conscious and subliminated.

Hmm maybe I'm imagining things but I could have sworn I saw some monsters the other day at the LFS. They looked exactly like I would expect a orange line to look only they were much larger. I didn't think they got big until I saw these ones. I don't have a pic. :/
