Orange sponge care

Hey Guys,

Have an orange sponge, about the size of my fist, not the branching type but just a solid lump.

Does anyone know what kind of care this needs? I know someone who has one in high light area, towards the top of the tank and it is doing fine... is this normal? I though sponges did not need light or could be damaged by it?

I know it needs flow but is light a factor or can I put it in any lighting area?

No lighting required, just good flow and you should be fine. Red sponge balls can be easy to keep but too much handling or bringing it out of the water could damage the sponge and kill it , place it and then leave it alone IMO
