Orange spotted goby info?

I just bought this fish, Amblyeleotris guttata.

It is now in my QT tank with bare bottom and LR, he doesn't seem to move much (is it normal?) but it did take mysis shrimp on the first day after settled in.

I was wondering if he would be more active in the display tank where there is a sand bed? Do most of the gobies just sit there all day long? I mean I don't even see him breathe.

Also can they go on for days without feeding if there is a sand bed? What about in the QT tank?

I have a pair with a a Tiger pistol shrimp and all they do is sit outside 1 of 3 holes the pistol created or they'll split off and hang out of 2 different holes. They aren't very active but they can go 2 days without food, because thats the longest I have gone without feeding them and I have had them for a year.

I had a pair with a pistol shrimp as well. The shrimp excavated a hole in the crushed coral base for the three to share. They never seemed to venture far from the opening but they did seem to play in the immediate area quite frequently.
