Order A2613589 and A2613590

Hi just got my 2 recent orders in today. Just wanted to mention 2 concerns. The pom pom xenia had lost around 6 of it's heads(what I call them) in the bag and isn't looking too good atm. It's acclimated and in the tank so hoping it pulls through. Also the Blue African Cespitularia had a very powerful odor (strong enough to make you gag) to it when I opened the bag and started the acclimation process. It's also in the tank and so far it's shrivled but isn't dissolving etc so hoping it will pull through also.

The silver branch pumping xenia is looking good and fully extened and swaying in the current. Also want to commend you for the huge amount of chaetomorpha that were in each bag. I ordered 3 bags expecting small amounts but wow there was a lot of it in each bag. Also lots of pods and critters in the chaeto that will help replenish my ref. All the snails I ordered seem to be doing well also. The Nassarius are all buried in the sand. The nerites are all over the rocks and glass. The top crowns are huge and really look neat.

This message is mainly as a heads up we may have issues with 2 of the corals but I will keep watching them over the next week or so to see how they do. Otherwise again very nice order. Everything was packed well also. Very pleased and will continue to order from LA in the future.

Thanks again

FizNid,

Thank you for your message. We are sorry to hear that your Pom Pom Xenia and Blue African Cespitularia were received in unsatisfactory condition. At this point, we recommend closely monitoring the specimens for improvement. Please continue to keep us posted on the status of these so that we can keep a record of this matter.

Just wanted to update that the pom pom xenia is looking better today. Still not out like it should look normally but no longer a blob on the rock. The Blue African Cespitularia is also looking a lot better today and has a limb type growth that has attached itself to the rock/base that the original coral is on. Looks like it's making another of itself?

The Nass and Nerite snails are doing well also. They are extremely active and very exciting to watch at night with the moonlights on. The Top crowns though I am not sure if they are alive or not. They haven't moved since I added them to the tank and there are several crabs etc hanging around the shells now. I don't see the snails hanging out but they aren't moving about either. Will keep an eye on them but not a huge concern atm.

My main concern was the corals and it looks now like they are doing better so hoping for the best. Even though I hope the top crowns do make it too. Very interesting looking snails etc.

Thanks again.
