order for MP10 just came in

My new MP10 Vortech pump just came in. Should the rubber part of the dry side look like this:

and the wet side:

i could see this causing major vibrating/noise issues. I've posted on EcoTech's forum to get their thoughts.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reaching out, I am sorry to hear that the pump arrived in the condition that it did, as you may know this is not a normal occurrence. I'd like to get this taken care of for you as quickly as possible could you private message me an order number for the item. I'd like to send a copy of your invoice to EcoTech Marine for possible replacement. Normally both rubber parts will need to lay flat to prevent any vibration
