Ordering Address Problems

Hello,

Around March 20th I purchased an $800 aqua medic sexy series metal halide fixture from Marine Depot. I received an email from them stating this item was on backorder and they should receive multiple units on the 28th. To my surprise I receive an email on April 3 saying there's been a mixup with my billing/shipping addresses. No I'm just curious what the hell Marine Depot has been doing for the past 2 and a half weeks with my order status while its on backorder...shouldn't have all of these kinks been worked out by now? Unfortunately I won't receive my order until the end of the week at the EARLIEST (which I don't expect coming from Marine Depot). I'm just concerned that this is my FIRST business with Marine Depot and this is the sort of customer service I get. I will have waiting a good three and a half weeks on a $800 order.

Thank you for your post, first of all thank you for your order and I do apologize for the delay. I suspect what might have happened is that since backorders are not charged until they are shipped the system does the verification once the order is charged. Unfortunately I do not have your order number so I can locate what caused the problem. As far as the backorder is concerned that was out of our hands unfortunately, we order quite a bit of these units to have on hand for our customer but there are sometimes that these units sell out quickly and the manufacturer can not keep up with the demand.
