Nice Maximus.

This is not my picture but could this be a oregon tort(this was taken by me from Hugo's Snipersps tank)

Thanks for the clarification Travis......93.....wow.....this coral has been around a long while; but, has only reached critical mass over the past couple of years.....the power of the net I guess. Ya know....that's funny about Rick......I never heard that before....but, somehow I can see it. I think with every OBT sold, you should include a bio....afterall....this is a pedigree now.

It looks like an OBT to me as well Mchava. The color and growth form look right.......but, it is sometimes hard to tell these days. If you could get a confirmation of the source being Upscales or Soutas, that would confirm it.

Mchava....you could also drive over to Eric at frag farmers. When I was down there this past weekend, I saw that he had several.

Maximus thanks, I use a simple digital camera to take them, but used a photo box to submerge the camera.

Steveweast: I saw that eric has them for sale but with gas prices, it better to get it from snipersps since he is just 15min from my house and Eric is 45m-1hr drive for me.

Here's a new pic of my cali tort with the all noticable green hue between the corallites. The green sort of looks magenta to me, but I am color blind. It might be the lights too. But definately a cali tort.

Mchava, I will third (or is it fourth now :D) that the pic of snipersps's coral looks like the oregon. That picture shows another distinct feature of the Oregon that separates it from the cali/ora. That is, the Oregon can get sporadic light/whitish colored areas as seen at the ends of a couple of the branches in that pic. I've noticed this with my own colony also. But have yet to see this on a cali/ora tort.

Here's mine: I think it's Oregon, what do you guys think?

hey guys

hey guys

he tank is recovering nicely and should return to its former glory in a few months. At that time, I'll update my site.

Steve, if that's your tank under dissarray then I suspect your doing something a lot of us aren;t doing too well. Cheers great pic, and I am sorry for your loss. I lost my father in Nov 19th 1999, was a terrible day for me, still hurts but gets better as well all know. Time does heal. I don't have the blue tort, but I do have a quite a few tri colors, and a nice purple Valonia. Oregon Tort reminds me a lot of the Purple Monster, many copies, very few originals. I think these beautiful iridescent slow growing acros are amazing, but if you get a bland colored frag often you can enhance it's colors with lighting techniques. I find all of my corals have shown more neon colors under my t5's in comparison to my previous 3 Phoniex 14k hqi's. Just my humble two cents.

Sorry it took so long to get this pic, I have not had much time to take pics the past couple of days. Its alittle dark still but I put my 2 torts next to each other and you can definatly tell a difference in shape and color!
