I have a time span of about 12 hours

I am looking for stores that have alot of livestock

cheap frags
clams
and unqiue fish

Plz leave the name of the places that you think are good, great, or absolutely amazing

Thanks
Zack

I can clear see the list of stores provide in the 3 thread above

However on a limited time scale i dont have the time to check out all the stores and then decide which ones were actually worth the time.........so i am asking you guys to basically weed out the stores that are crap for me

Bluehippo thanks for the recommendation

Any other places that are a definate no...like known to have ich, bad service, bad husbandry skills, or just plan dumb?

My list of must visits goes as follows

Ocean's Direct - Mostly for fish but have a nice selection of corals too
World Wide Corals - Corals
Sea in the City is very nice as well.
If you are in the UCF are Ocean Blue ussually has nice fish and corals as well.

I dunno if you're new to club/local forums or whatever, but it's extremely untasteful to ask people to bash stores that are just trying to operate, especially club sponsors. Every person will have a different experience per store. Some might a bit of Ich at a store and flip out, while some will realize Ich is very treatable and ultimately not a very big deal with QT, etc. As stated above, the stickied thread is the list of LFS's. Those that are club sponsors, are probably so for a reason, and those that are Reef Central advertisers, are also, probably so for a reason.

Actually being a sponsor generally just takes $. Thats for any sponsor for anything in general, not to comment on any of our local stores.

I think it could be said that while we advocate constructiveness and being positive, someone could send the OP a PM with their personal opinions without it causing too much trouble. 12 hours isn't a lot of time when you divide it up amongst the many great stores in our area!

yep that's what i figured would happen. it almost does everytime someone ask that question. aquaknight is on the money. do it private instead of making people call out some store rather than others. all stores have something to offer to someone or they would not be in business to begin with. you would be suprised that if you visit alot of them and get a one on one with them they will do anything for you. we have been spoiled with the amount of stores that are within 50 miles.

thanks guys for your comments

I never wanted anyone to bash a store but some stores are now not to be very good and i rather not waste my time at places that have low stock, bad service, or just plan bad.........

Sorry if that raised any problems

Anyways the trip was very successful
Thanks

This is just my $0.02.
Orlando is very lucky to have the quality stores we have. From what I hear and have experienced people in other regions don't have the selection we have. While some stores are better in certian areas than others I have yet to go into any store here and left saying "well, I'm never going there again". I think Orlando stores are "locals" stores and the better of a customer you are the more they are willing to cut you a deal and spend extra time lending a helping hand.
