I have been running gfo and carbon and do regular water changes on and off for the past year or two. Testing phosphate usually gets a 0-0.03 result on a Salifert test. I feed a cube a day of frozen mysis shrimp or brine shrimp. I have a 75 gallon tank with a percula clown, a hippo tang (2 in), 2 pajama cardinals, a yellow tailed damsel, a scooter blenny, a cleaner shrimp and a pistol shrimp. Nothing is over 2 inches. I have softies, and zoos/button polyps predominantly. I have four 1-2 inch toadstools that have drooped after having their stalks get thinner and longer (3-4 inches). It almost looks like they fell over and are running along the rocks and attaching on the stalk instead of standing up straight. Red slime keeps forming on one or two of these toadstools and I keep having to remove it. The skimming is done by a reef octopus rated for a 150 gallon tank powered by a mag 7 pump. This has been going on and off for years with the red slime. Lighting for the last 1.5 years is from a wavepoint 4 bulb T5 fixture (two blue and two 12k bulbs) as well as a regular 40 watt 48 inch power glow bulb (bulbs replaced regularly). I don't think I am feeding too much, but can't figure out why I keep having these issues. ORP values are between 150 and 165 usually. Any suggestions?
