Orp Ques

When I feed my fish I observe a large ORP drop about 10-20mV
My ozonizer is undersized for my tank, so it takes a while before it can restablish itself. It is most consistent at night as no feeding takes place at that time. The unit is an Aquazone plus 50mg/hr model. It generally peakes out in the lower 300's. Anyone else made this observation or is this drop in ORP normal for an undersized ozonizer during feeding. My tank is 150gallons.

I have the AquaZone 100 Plus. I have the same problem. orp normaly in the low 300's, drops during feedings. I do not think that it is a bad thing. Its just all the extra stuff in the water. Mine drops when I run the magnet across the glass as well.

I spoke to a few people in the REEF CHEMISTRY forum and they said that it is very typical so I feel better. Is your ORP most stable at night? That is how my unit is. I think it gets to stablize since no new particles are added to the water and it can work uninterupted.
DO you get better or worse skimate now by the way?

Same thing here, I have the Aquazone 50 and I get about a 30 mV drop when I feed. It usually re-establishes overnight.
