I noticed today after my lights went out that my male clown was laying on the sand in the front of the tank and not in the flower pot like he normally does. He doesn't lay there all the time though; he'll swim to the female clown and hang out with her for a while too.
I tested my water and here are the parameters:
Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate = 0ppm
Magnesium = 1200
Calcium = 350 (I know a bit low but it's slowly going up)
Alk 3meq/L
pH = 8.2
Salinity = 1.023 (slowly raising this as well)
Temp = 80F
Anyone ever observe this behavior? The only reason why I am worried is because when I have my nano-cube first setup I added a few clowns and one of them hung out on the sand for a few days at night and one day I woke up and the clown hanging out on the sand was dead in the claws of my cleaner. Any advice/experience is appreciated.
