hello i hooked up my osmalator last night and it worked fine. it stoped pumping right when the water hit the sensor. now when i got home it has pumped the resivor dry and the red light was blinking. ok i turned it off and waited two min pluged it back in and the green water level light is on but the pump still turns on. suggestions? eric

It turns on and stays on? Or just starts for a second and stops when power is first applied? Was your water level down and it needed to add water or did it overfill the sump?

ok pluged it back in and the pump ran for about 15 sec then turned off. so seems to be working now although the sensor is completely under water due to the over filling. atleast i only put alittle water in the resivor. so i will drain water out of the sump and see if the sensor turns on to trigger a refill. but i do not know why it over filled in the first place. there are no microbubbles or water turbulence where the sensor is, no ballast wires, or magnetic fields. so what do i need to look for that would have caused the sensor to not sence the water? thank you eric

The water is pumping up to the tank and not to the sump correct? If you are pumping to a point lower than the reservoir the pump will simply prime a siphon and the hose will siphon the entire reservoir into the sump.

yes pumping up to the tank not the sump. filled container only 1/3 full this time and will plug the unit back in and see if it fails again. so far i have tested the unit with pumping saltwater out of my storage container back in the tank and it has worked fine. maybe there was a glitch or a film on the sensor i dont know i have been able to reproduce the problem. thank you eric
