Osmolator 3155 water damage?

So I bought the osmolator yesterday and all was going well during hook up and then, well, I accidently knocked the controller into my sump. It was unplugged at the time, i quickly removed it opened it up and proceeded to dry it out with a hair dryer.

After an hour or so I went to plugg it in and the too high light, too low light and buzzer were on so the manual said the proble was water damage. Duh.

I tried dryign it out more and at one point it worked, but atfer 15-20 min it started to fill the tank and proceeded to do so until the safety activated.

After that i now get the water damage signal everytime I try plug it in.

Anyway, basically i am wondering if there is a reset or something I can look for in particular to try fix the circuit board. I am p***** to say the least after spendign the money and stupidly dropping this thing in water.

Any help is appreciated.

I don't think much can be done. Usually if they fall in saltwater it is game over. If you give me a call I will hook you up with a discount on the 5017 controller. 512-833-7546

Is there a particular interior component which usually breaks/malfunctions when exposed to water which can be replaced instead of the whole controller itself?

I have dropped circuit boards in water before that worked fine after drying out, it's ashame this one is so sensitive.

PS: Can a new controller be purchased without th sensors? or would I have to get those to.

They come with the sensors. The problem is that most of the micro components are surface mount, most likely multiple surface mount diodes have been damaged and it is just too difficult to diagnose and repair. If it fell in RO water, usually it could dry out and be used again but salt water, especially if electricity was applied will quickly destroy multiple components.
