Hello, I have an Osmolator 3155 that i bought new about a year ago, just finally set up the tank it's going on and when i turned it on it filled the sump and the sensor was completely submerged. It stopped a few times for a few seconds but then would start again. It's as if the optical eye doesn't work. Also, the plastic float switch bracket that attaches to the magnet for the separate float valve set up, one of the tabs is missing, it attaches ok, but I don't think that's normal. The optical sensor has what appears to be epoxy resin right above the flat part, so I can't rotate it to lock it into the magnet mount. I'll try to get some pictures tomorrow. Thanks.

Please post pictures of the parts in question, I will be back online tomorrow. My best guess is just bubbles, the optic sensor only detects air vs water and will interpret bubbles the same as being dry, this is a very common issue on newly set up Osmolators, try rinsiing the sensor in hot soapy water and placing it in a calmer area free of bubbles and see if that does not solve it.
