Osmolator alarm?

With no reciept all I have to go by is the production date but usually an osmolator isn't more than 3 months off the factory floor when it is sold.

Roger,
You asked about the pump, you may be on to something. Both times that it has done this, the pump was out of water causing the 10min timere to elapse.

But, why would it take so long(as in days) for the unit to reset?
If it runs dry, signals an alarm, and shuts down. shouldnt unplugging and plugging it back in reset the unit? even if there were air in the lines, the pump should at least kick on after reboot?
I will have a closer look at the pump "sticking" after drying out to see if that could be the cause.

thanks for all your help Roger.

What happens is there is an air bubble in the impeller chamber so it just spins and doesn't pump anything at all. You have to tip the pump upside down and get the air out. This happens when they run completely dry for a while.
