Osmolator and Kalk

I think the directions said not to use kalk in the top off reservoir with the osmolator pump. Has anyone tried this?

The pump life is reduced by the alkaline solution and more so by any slurry.

But not if used with the Calcium dispenser right?

Yes, because then the pump is still in just RO water.
