Osmolator BEEP at power on

Is there any way to disable it? Every time I do a 'Feed' I power off the Osmolator via the Apex EB8 so that the sensor doesn't go crazy with the level fluctuation of drain back (return pump is off for Feed).
When power is restored it does a very loud BEEEEEP and then adds water - even if the level was fine before Feed.

Can the BEEEEP be disabled? Should I not even bother powering it off?

Yes, the manual explains how to disable the alarm, their is a jumper inside for the alarm feature, you can also mute it by putting heavy double sided tape or a piece of velcro over the speaker.

Wow I actually had no idea you can disable it. My only gripe is that the 10 minute shut off doesn't activate. So when my reservoir is empty it just keeps going

Actually even with the jumper removed it still beeps as soon as power returns - and the sensor always reads "Low" and fills even if it's not low.
So I've decided to NOT turn off the outlet for Feed. I've left the jumper off and when the sump backfills the 'too high' light comes on but no beeps.

I had the same issue so now I just leave the return pump on when I feed. When doing a water change I have to remember to move the tube from the sump to the ATO reservoir so the water gets pumped into that instead of the sump when power is restored. My fear is some day I'll forget to put the tube back in the sump.
