osmolator hookup

im having a problem connecting the black water line to the pump. i dont see how such a small hose is going to fit over the large fitting and slide all the way down to the notch. Am i missing a part? or am i just not doing it right? Ive tried heating it up under boiling water, and still no luck.

Please help.

Mine pushed *inside* the pump housing, however I have a replacement pump now and cannot get the origional black piping to push into the white housing on the replacement pump. The origional fitting was black and soft on the pump, whereas this is white and hard, and I guess a few mm narrower...

It does push inside. It is a very snug fit but it should fit. We did switch to a molded white piece and away from the rubber fitting that we used to use but the fit should be the same.

ok, i figured something had to have changed, because i saw NO way that was going to fit over that fitting. thanks for the help, will give it a shot when i get home from work.
